Volunteers play an essential role in everything we do, from helping out on projects and fundraising to directly supporting others on their mental health journeys.
We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team on a voluntary basis and help us to keep up the amazing work we do throughout Staffordshire. Donating your time and skills can make a real difference to both us and the people we serve.
While volunteering we can offer support to gain skills, build confidence and make friends.
Volunteer
and make a difference
You'll be directly contributing to improving mental health services across Staffordshire.
We'll provide training and support throughout your volunteering journey, helping you develop new skills and experience.
You'll be working alongside other passionate people who are committed to the same cause.
Your time and talents will have a positive impact on the lives of others.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and skills. Here are some areas where you can get involved:
Provide one-to-one encouragement to someone taking first steps back into community life. You’ll provide friendly check-ins and gentle support to build confidence, reduce isolation, and help people feel ready to attend activities or access other services.
Help behind the scenes to keep our projects running smoothly. This could include admin support, preparing resources, helping with data collection, attending events and supporting outreach, making sure people can access the right help at the right time.
Support at our charity allotment in Chadsmoor by welcoming people, helping with light gardening tasks, and creating a calm, friendly space for conversation. You’ll help people benefit from fresh air, routine, and growing food for the local community food bank.
Help create a welcoming, non-judgemental space at our weekly Chatty Corner cafés. You’ll greet people, support conversation and inclusion, help with set-up/pack-down, and make sure everyone feels comfortable and valued.
Organise fundraising events in your community to raise money for SNfMH.
Help us share supportive messages, promote services and celebrate local impact. You’ll help create and schedule posts, update events, and tell our story in a kind, stigma-free way.
Do you have experience in charity leadership, business, finance, marketing or fundraising that could strengthen our Board of Trustees? By becoming a Trustee you could make a difference to your local community by helping to shape the future of the charity.
